General Assembly Kickstarts Special Pre-Launch Tech, Design and Business Classes in Singapore

Singapore, April 2015 – (Press Release) – General Assembly, a global educational institution offering in- struction in technology, business and design, has begun its pre-launch “sneak peek” pro- gramming at GA Singapore at 113 Somerset Road. The official launch event will be May 15, from 6-9 pm.

General Assembly, which has 14 locations in the US, UK, Hong Kong and Australia, has more than 12,000 alumni from its full- and part-time courses worldwide. In Singapore, initial offerings will include classes and workshops focused on practical business, tech and design instruction, with part-time courses to follow in July.

From April 20, GA is offering a slate of pre-launch classes and workshops sure to be of in- terest to Singaporeans, including: What is data science?, Intro to user experience design, Coding for beginners, Digital marketing for everyone, Introduction to ruby on rails, Intro to the Singapore design community, How to make an iPhone app, Introduction to Google ana- lytics, Understanding mobile UX. These evening sessions range in cost from free to $35.

In January, General Assembly and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore an- nounced an agreement to collaborate in Singapore, leading to the global leading education provider setting up its first presence in Southeast Asia. Well-known for programmes where students level-up in the jobs they have or emerge prepared for roles as developers, user experience designers, and tech product managers, GA delivers actionable, practical and tactical skills for the 21st century workplace.
