Singapore (Press Release) 24 July 2015 – SiTF Awards, organised by Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), is to provide recognition to innovative ICM Application / Solution which are developed locally. This award, championed by the industry, is an important accolade to the infocomm innovations in Singapore. It shall provide MNCs, local enterprises and institutions, with the opportunity to showcase their innovative product and services. It also offers an excellent platform to create awareness, seek investors and identify business partners.
The judges who preside over the competition are distinguished individuals; amongst them are luminaries of ICM industry, venture capitalists, investors and academia. Nominees who participate in SiTF Awards will receive professional feedback on their submissions from the judging panel. Networking opportunities for participating organizations with prospective partners and investors are also available.

SiTF Awards was inaugurated in 2009 by Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF). This Award, championed by the industry, is an important accolade for made-in Singapore infocomm innovations
Over the years, besides recognising innovative ICM (Infocomm Media) Applications/ Solutions which are developed locally, SiTF Awards has evolved and extend its include recognition to companies which have taken efforts to innovate its business through the adoption of technology.
The judges presiding over this competition are distinguished individuals; amongst them are luminaries of ICM industry, venture capitalists, investors and academia. Nominees who participate in SiTF Awards will receive professional feedback on their projects from the judging panel.
For each Award Category, a Gold, Silver and/ or Bronze Winners will be selected. An Overall Champion (Judges’ Choice) will also be chosen from the list of distinguished winners.
Besides serving as a bedrock for local innovations, SiTF Awards also helps to identify nominations for other important competitions such as the National Infocomm Awards (NIA), which is the national level award for infocomm innovation in Singapore, the APICTA (Asia Pacific ICT Alliance) Awards and the Biennial World Summit Awards (WSA).
The Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) comprises corporate members ranging from local start-ups to establish MNCs. SiTF’s charters are to serve as the voice of the Singapore infocomm industry, to provide members with opportunities to increase their market presence and business reach, to promote ICM innovation and to enhance industry capabilities.
SiTF works with various stakeholders in the ICM industry to address ICM-related issues and promote emerging technologies in areas such as Digital Media, Cloud Computing, Green IT, Wireless, Security and Governance.
Among the key events initiated by SiTF are the SiTF Infocomm Leaders Golf, SiTF Awards, SITEX and ICT Business Summit. The key initiatives by SiTF include MatchiT, 123JumpStart, PPPO, SiTF Academy and administering the ‘Infocomm Singapore’ brand.
These are the award categories open to all Singapore-companies, organisations, and institutions.
1. Best Innovative infocomm Product/Solution (Consumer / Enterprise)
This category recognises Singapore-registered organisations and companies that have developed innovative infocomm product or solution that serves the consumer or enterprise market.
2. Best Innovative Use of Infocomm Technology Award (For Public Sector • NGO • Private Sector (Enterprise) • Private Sector (SMEs))
The award is given to organisations and companies which have effectively harnessed innovative infocomm technology, and reaped significant improvements in productivity or competitiveness as a result.
3. Best Innovative R&D Award (Infocomm Media Technology – Startup)
Any Infocomm Communication Technology research and development, conducted by academic, non-academic institutions, or individuals to create innovative products, processes, and services; and that such innovations have been completed fully but not yet actively marketed, or are already actively marketed but still no customer or installation, or not been completed but their features and functionalities can be demonstrated
